The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition.       The effect of chromatographic conditions on the separation of selected alkaloids on silica layers

Systems with the best selectivity and efficiency were used to separate alkaloid standard mixtures and plant extracts by 2D-TLC (e. g. methanol - water 4:1, containing 1 % ammonia, in the first direction and methanol - acetone - diisopropyl ether - diethylamine 15:15:69:1 in the second direction).

In each case, the individual mobile phases contained 30-90 % (v/v; in 10 % increments) of methanol as an organic modifier. Detection by absorbance measurement at 254 nm. RP-TLC can be used for the characterization of the lipophilicity of semisynthetic derivatives of morphine.

Detection by dipping into anisaldehyde sulfuric acid reagent, followed by heating at 110 °C. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 540 nm. The hRF value for solamargine was 15. Linearity was between 25 and 300 ng/zone. LOD and LOQ were 1 and 4 ng/zone. The intermediate precision was <2 % (n=3). Average recovery was 101.2 %.
