Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 6, 220-222 (1993). OPLC of i.a. berberine, chelidonine, sanguinarine, palmatine, hydrastinine, hydrastine, ajmaline, serpentine on silica with ethyl acetate - tetrahydrofuran - acetic acid 6:2:2. Detection under UV 365 nm and after immersion in Dragendorff's reagent. Quantification by spectrodensitometry at 540 nm (absorbance).
J. Chromatogr. 668, 427-433 (1994). Description of a sample preparation technique rendering alkaloid fractions suitable for TLC or GC determination of toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids from various plant sources. The procedure includes the reduction of the alkaloid N-oxides with the oxygen-absorbing resin and a clean-up with strong cation exchange solid phase columns, as well as an enrichment of the alkaloids if desired.

Detection by spraying with solution 1) hydrogen peroxide 36% - diethyleneglycoldimethylether - acetic acid anhydride 1:1:2, 2) acetic acid anhydride - petrol ether (60-80 °) 1:4, and 3) 0.5 g dimethylaminobenzaldehyde in 35 mL ethanol and 15 mL diethyleneglycoldimethylether, immediately before use add 1 mL hydrochloric acid 38%. Drying of the plate for 5 - 10 min at 160 °C between the spraying steps. Quantification visually or by densitometry at 550 nm. A new simple and sensitive TLC procedure.
Phytochemistry 44, 971-973 (1997). Isolation of macrocyclic lactam alkaloids by prep. TLC on silica with ethyl acetate - methanol 4:1 or toluene - 96% ethanol 9:1. Detection under UV 254 nm or with Dragendorff's reagent. Quantification by densitometry after two-fold development with toluene - ethanol at 254 nm.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 20 (5), 13-14 (1998). TLC on silica gel with toluene - acetone - ethanol - NH3 20:25:3:5. Quantitation by densitometry at 254 nm. Precision = 1.87% (n=5) within plate and 2.41% (n=5) plate-to-plate. Recovery = 97.12 ± 1.49% (n=5).

TLC on silica gel with a mobile phase of mixing a constant volume of acetate buffer and various volumes of methanol and redistilled water. Detection under UV 366 nm or by spraying with potassium iodoplatinate reagent and densitometry at 280 nm. Also column chromatography. Investigation of relationship between the logarithm of the retention factors K of the alkaloids and volume fractions of methanol at pH 6, which was linear for volume fraction in range of 0.1 to 0.4. Estimation of the value of the retention factor for a alkaloid in pure buffer and then using the maximum volume of alkaloid extract on micropreparative column filled with silica gel.
