Staining procedure: After chromatography plates sprayed with an acid in ethanol and, after intermediate drying, sprayed with 0.25 % ninhydrin in acetone; then plate heated 15 min at 110 °C. Investigated: sulfuric, phosphoric, hydrochloric and acetic acid. Best results obtained with 1 N orthophosphoric acid - ethanol 1:3 (sensitivity and color differentiation).
