The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

J. Planar Chromatogr. 6, 481-486 (1993). One- and two-dimensional TLC of ecdysteroids (2-deoxyecdysone, 2-deoxy-20-hydroxyecdysone, 20-hydroxyecdysone 22-acetate, 20-hydroxyecdysone, integristerone) with 7 mobile phases and eleven different sets of conditions. Visualization under UV 254 nm.

HPTLC/TLC of testosterone and derivates (methyltestosterone, testosterone propionate, testosterone isobutyrate, testosterone phenylpropionate, testosterone isocaproate, testosterone enanthate, testosterone caprate on silica gel, RP-18W and aluminium oxide with a whole range of binary mixtures such as methanol/water, acetonitrile/water, methanol/dichloromethane and acetone/hexane 0 – 100 % on the effect of temperature ranging from -20 to +60 °C under saturated and unsaturated chamber conditions. Detection by dipping in 10 % methanolic phosphomolybdic acid, followed by heating at 100 °C for 10 min. Evaluation under UV 366 and 254 nm. The best separation was observed on RP-18W with methanol/water mobile phases.
J. Chromatogr. 318, 373-377 (1985). TLC of various ecdysteroids on silica with chloroform - ethanol 4:1, on C18 -bonded silica with methanol - water 65:35 and on paraffin-coated silica plates with methanol - water 5:5. Detection by UV 254 nm. Rf values of 26 compounds are reported. Best results obtained with C18 bonded RP-HPTLC plates. (See also: I. Wilson et al., J. Chromatogr. 212, 211 (1981).)

TLC of ecdysteroids on silica with ethyl acetate - methanol - NH3 85:10:5 against standard of 0.1% methanolic solution of 20-hydroxyecdysone; estimation under UV 254 nm, and then at 366 nm after spraying with 1% solution of vanillin/sulfuric acid: blue fluorescing spots.

TLC of ecdysteroids (20-hydroxyecdysone, polypodine B) on silica with dichloromethane - 96% ethanol 4:1 (first development) and chloroform - methanol - benzene 25:5:3 (second development). Quantitative determination by UV fluorescence quenching at 254 nm. Correlation coefficients were between 0.97 and 0.995, standard deviations between 0.13 and 0.06, and accuracy between 0.05 and 0.07.

TLC of ecdysone, makisterone A, polypodine B, ponasterone A, ponasterone C and polypodine B 2-cinnamate on silica with various solvent systems based on hexane - dichloromethane and dichloromethane - methanol using AMD. Detection by visualizing under UV 254 nm; densitometry by absorbance at 260 nm. Comparison of the results with those from manual multiple development and single development.
