The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

HPTLC of cholic acid, glycocholic acid, glycodeoxycholic acid, chenodeoxycholic acid, deoxycholic acid, lithocholic acid, and glycolithocholic acid, on RP-18 W, RP-18, RP-2, and cyano phase with methanol - water, organic mixture (acetonitrile - methanol 1:1) - water, acetone - water, dioxane - water and acetonitrile - phosphate buffer (pH 4.60) in different volume compositions. Detection by spraying with a 10 % aqueous solution of sulfuric acid, or by dipping in 10 % ethanolic solution of sulfuric acid and heating at 120 °C for 20 min. Five neighbouring bile acids were separated only when cyano phase was used with acetone - water 1:1; deoxycholic acid and chenodeoxycholic acid were separated only on RP-2 plates with methanol - water 13:7.

Quantification by densitometry at 255 nm. Fast, accurate, reproducible TLC method; comparison with HPLC.

TLC of cholic acid, glycocholic acid, glycolithocholic acid, deoxycholic acid, chenodeoxycholic acid, glycodeoxycholic acid, and lithocholic acid on RP-2 and silica gel - Kieselguhr at 18 °C and 40 °C with n-hexane - ethyl acetate - acetic acid in different volume compositions. Detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in water, followed by heating at 120 °C for 20 min. The obtained results indicate that the separation of some bile acids can be improved by proper choice of temperature.

Derivatization with 5 % perchloric acid in methanol.
