The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

J. Planar Chromatogr. 21, 387-390 (2008). TLC of prostaglandin PGE2 and PGF2a on silica gel and RP-18 in a saturated chamber with methanol - dichloromethane 1:9 and 100 % acetonitrile, respectively. Detection by spraying with phosphomolybdic acid (10 % in methanol) and heating at temperatures ranging from 80 to 100 °C (for silica gel) and below 80 °C (for RP-18). Densitometric evaluation; chromatographic spot quantification, however, was performed manually using the peak height above baseline method.

TLC of arachidonic acid metabolites on silica, impregnated with phenylmethylvinyl chlorosilane, using heptane - methyl formate - ether - acetic acid 65:25:10:2 for 8.5 cm, followed by 2nd run with hexane - methyl formate-ether - acetic acid 50:40:10:1 for 11 cm. Detection by spraying with 2 % molybdic acid in ethanol.
J. High Resol. Chromatogr. 7, 593-595 (1984). HPTLC of the title compounds on silica with ethanol - ether - ethyl acetate - chloroform 12:33:22:33. Detection by spraying with 5 % cupric acetate in 15 % aqueous phosphoric acid and heating at 110 °C for 10 minutes. Fluorometry at 366 nm. Sensitivity 1-10 ng.
Chem.) 34, 707-711 (l985). (Japanese) (Determination of higher fatty acids in phospholipid subfractions of human platelets using thin-layer chromatography and gas chromatography.) TLC of phospholipid subfractions on silica with chloroform - methanol acetic acid - formic acid 50:30:4.5:6.5. Detection by spraying with 8-anilinonaphtalenesulfonic acid ammonium salt. Quantification by GC after extraction and methylation. Phospholipids were extracted from silica with chloroform - methanol 1:4 once and methanol twice. Methylation was done with boron trifluoride and methanol. The method is highly reliable.

Purification of prostaglandins El, E2 and E3 by 1-D and 2-D TLC on silica with diethyl ether - methanol for the former, and diethyl ether - acetic acid 100:2 and chloroform - methanol - acetic acid 90:10:2 for the latter. Quantification by HPLC. Verification by MS after preparative TLC on silica with diethyl ether - methanol 98:2.

Two-dimensional TLC of prostaglandins, thromboxane and arachidonic acid with ethyl acetate - iso-octane - acetic acid - water 11:5:2:10 and chloroform - methanol - acetic acid 90:8:6. Detection by spraying with 10% phophomolybdic acid in ethanol. Discussion of the chromatographic conditions.
