Immuno TLC on diol plates with chloroform - methanol - 8% NH3 65:30:6. Immunological staining according to conventional western plot. Visualization via enhanced chemiluminescence detection system. Densitometric evaluation via peak area of the x-ray film including background subtraction. Recovery 65-120% and 75-110% (inter-assay, n=6, 3 concentrations), repeatability 24-28% and intermediate precision 22-52% (n=6, 3 concentrations), detection limit 0,125 ng HCP (host cell derived proteins), quantitation limit 0,02% and specification limit 0,1%. This HPTLC procedure can also be used to separate the hydrophobic protein from impurities and modification (which can not be separated by HPLC). Visualization via coommassie brilliant blue (0,15 %). Repeatability ca. 10% (n=8).

Biochem. Biophys. Res. Commun. 497, 1082-1088 (2018). TLC of lipids extracted from the different intraerytrocytic stages of P. falciparum labelled with nitrobenzoxadiazole-ceramide or nitrobenzoxadiazole-DHceramide as fluorescent precursors and treated or not with tamoxifen. TLC on silica gel with chloroform – methanol – water 40:10:1 for neutral and zwitterionic lipids and propanol – ammonia – water 15:1:1 for acidic lipids. The effect of tamoxifen on glycosphingolipid biosynthesis was evaluated by fluorescent precursor incorporation.

Anal. Chim. Acta 311, 57-62 (1995). Two-dimensional HPTLC of gangliosides in human plasma on silica with 1) chloroform - methanol - 0.2 % aqueous CaCl2 5:4:1, and 2) propanol - NH3 3:2 for both directions, resp. Derivatization with resorcinol reagent. Quantification by image processing; GM4 was used as internal standard.

Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry 4 (3), 21-24 (2015). Assessment of the quality of Mustadi Taila, an oil obtained from 8 plants (stems of Acacia chundra, Cedrus deodara, rhizome of Cyperus rotundus, seeds of Embelia ribes, roots of Glycyrrhiza glabra, Rubia cordifolia, Vitex negundo, Vetiveria zizanioides), and prescribed in Chakra Datta as a remedy for dental caries. TLC of the dichloromethane fraction of the aqueous oil extract with methanol – cyclohexane –dichloromethane 3:2:77. Evaluation at UV 254 and 366 nm revealed 10 prominent zones. Detection of alkaloids by spraying with Dragendorff’s reagent. Further properties of the oil (organoleptic as well as physico-chemical parameters, phytochemical screening, microbiological activity and heavy metals limits) were determined without TLC.

J. High Resol. Chromatogr. 5, 104-105 (1982). TLC of phospholipids on silica with chloroform - methanol - acetic acid - water 60:14:13:2.4. Detection by heating for 3-5 minutes at 190 °C and spraying with 3 % cupric acetate in 8 % H3PO4. Densitometry.

J. Liquid Chromatogr. 6, 1265-1 272 (1983). HPTLC of prostaglandin 6-keto-F1alpha, F2alpha, E2, 13,14-dihydro-15-keto-F2alpha,13,14-dihydro-15-keto-E2, and tromboxane B2 on silica with ethyl acetate - acetone - acetic acid 90:5:1. Determination by spraying with 10 % phosphomolybdic acid and heating.

J. Neurochem. 42, 326-333 (1983). TLC of 14C-phosphoethanolamine and CTP-14C-p-ethanolamine on silica with methanol - 0.9 % NaCl - NH3 50:50:3. Detection by autoradiography.

J. Liquid Chromatogr. 6, 2687-2694 (1984). TLC of fatty acid methyl esters (cis-trieonic, cis-dienoic, cis-monoenoic, trans-dienoic, trans-monoenoic and saturated esters on silver nitrate impregnated silica with hexane - pentane -ether - acetic acid 100:30:6:3. Detection with 20 % sulfuric acid in water - methanol 3:2, after drying the plate at 120 °C for 10 minutes, heating over metallic plate (200 °C, 10 minutes).
