Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS

Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.

The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

  • Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
  • Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
  • Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
  • Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications

Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.

      A novel thin-layer chromatographic system
S.Z. QURESHI*, R.M.A.Q. JAMHOUR, N. RAHMAN, (Analytical Research Division, Dept. of Chem., Aligarh Muslim Univ., Aligarh - 202002, India)

      J. Planar Chromatogr. 9, 466-469 (1996). TLC of cephalosporins (ceftriaxone, cefuroxime, cefotaxime, ceftazidime, cefadroxil, cefalexin) on an LDH anion exchanger mixed with silica gel as sorbent and 18 different mobile phases. Semiquantitative determination after elution with spectrophotometry. Conclusion: TLC on an mixture of layered double hydroxide and silica enables a better identification of all the cephalosporins presented in the paper. The method is easy to perform and can be applied in the pharmacy.

      J. FLIEGER, H. SZUMILO, (Dept. of Inorg. and Anal. Chem., Med. Acad., 20-081 Lublin, Staszica 6, Poland)

      J. Planar Chromatogr. 12, 320-327 (1999). Examination of structure and homogeneity of silica gel layers impregnated with copper(II) sulfate by atomic-force microscopy (AFM), energy-dispersive spectrometry and densitometry. Model analysis of anilines, quinolines, and phenol derivatives; comparison of the effect of mobile phases used (dioxan, ethyl acetate, benzene, dichloromethane, and chloroform) on the retention on unmodified and modified sorbents.

Part I: TLC of metal complexes J. Planar Chromatogr. 15, 341-344 (2002). Study of the chromatographic behavior of 4 mixed tric(b-diketonato)-Co complexes, 3(b-ketoiminato)-Cu(II) complexes, 2 tris(alkylxanthato)-Co(III) complexes and 5 bis(alkylxanthato)-Ni(II) complexes on CN-plates with 15 mobile phases. The spots of individual complexes were visible owing to their natural colors.

Thin-layer chromatography in the separation of unsaturated organic compounds using silver-thiolate chromatographic material
      J. DILLON*, J. APONTE, Y. TSAI, Y. HUANG (*Dep. of Chem., Brown Univ., 324 Brook Street, Providence, RI 02906, USA)

      J. of Chromatogr. A 1251, 240-243 (2012). Report of the use of silver-thiolate chromatographic material as a stable material for TLC. The stationary phase operated under the same principles as silver-ion chromatography, separating compounds by degree of unsaturation; however, showed considerable advantages over Ag-TLC in terms of light stability and shelf lifetime. Demonstration of the light stability and its application for separations based on the degrees of unsaturation. TLC of using fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) with hexane – ethyl acetate 9:1 and of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) with 100 % ethyl acetate.

Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University,
      Aligarh 202002, India, alimohammad08@gmail.com)

      J. Planar Chromatogr. 29, 446-452 (2016). HPTLC of brilliant blue (1), tartrazine (2) and carmoisine (3) on polyaniline-modified silica gel (prepared by in-situ oxidative polymerization of aniline in the presence of different amounts of silica gel using potassium persulfate as the oxidizing agent) with methanol - water 1:9. The hRF values for (1) to (3) were 5, 96 and 90, respectively. A better separation efficiency was observed by modifying silica gel with polyaniline as compared to the conventional silica gel layer._x000D_

      Reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography on C2, C8, C18 and diphenyl bonded phases
      E. HEILWEIL, F.M. RABEL

      J. Chromatogr. Sci. 23, 101-105 (1985). TLC of more than 30 compounds from ethoxy phenols, steroids, polyaromatic hydrocarbons, phenothiazines, sulfonamides, p-hydroxy benzoic acid esters, dipeptides on RP-2, RP-8 and RP-18 and diphenyl modified silica with different solvents. Results: retention and development times increase with longer chain lengths. Diphenyl and RP-2 show similar selectivities.
