The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

HPTLC of 35 simple molecules (acetaminophen, acetanilide, 4-aminobenzoic acid, 2-aminophenol, 2-aminopiridine, 4-aminosalicylic acid, antraquinone, benzocaine, benzoic acid, benzoquinone, caffeine, dihydralazine, 4-dimethylaminbenzaldehyde, diphenylamine, ethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, eugenol, 8-hydroxyquinoline, indol, isoniazide, 2-naphtol, 1-naphtylamine, 4-nitrophenol, phenol, phenyl salicylate, phenylacetic acid, phenylhydrazine, phloroglucine, resorcinol, salicylamide, salicylic acid, sulfanilamide, sulfanilic acid, thymol, 4-toluidine and vanillin) on RP-2 and RP-18 with 25 chromatographic systems of solvents miscible with water as a diluent (acetone, acetonitrile, dioxane, ethanol, isopropanol, methanol, and tetrahydrofuran). The eluotropic strength was investigated using a design concept that allowed separate estimation of each solvent effect with a relatively small error.
J. Chromatogr. 324, 43l-435 (1985). TLC of eleven pairs of Pt(II) and Pd(II) square-planar complexes on silica with 28 solvent systems. Comparison of the Rf-values of trans isomers to those of cis isomers. Discussion of the mechanism of separation with different solvent systems.
Chromatographia 21, 509-512 (1986). TLC of hematoporphyrin IX (Hp) and its metal complexes on octyl-, or octadecyl-bonded silica with various compositions of methanol - phosphate buffer mixtures. The mobility order for the compounds: Cu-complex < Ni-complex < Hp < Zn-complex. Recommendation of the combination of octadecyl-bonded silica with methanol - phosphate buffer (pH 3) for the separation of the 4 compounds.
Chromatographia 27, 565-568 (1989). Investigation of the retention behavior of steroids on silica and octadecyl-bonded silica with homologous series of esters and n-alcohols as mobile phase. Analysis of the electrostatic interactions in the systems by studying the relationship between the log (1/Rf) values and the molecular polarizabilities of the solvents.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 2, 203-206 (1989). The chromatography of six N-oxides (nicotinic acid N-oxide, metyrapone N-oxide, p-cyano-N, N-dimethyl aniline N-oxide, 3-acetyl pyridine N-oxide, 3-benzylpyridine N-oxide, and pyridine N-oxide) was described for both C-18 and CN-bonded silica gel TLC plates. Using methanol-water solvent systems containing up to 60% methanol the N-oxides had higher Rf values than their respective parent compounds. At concentrations of methanol of 80% or more the order of migration was reversed. Separation of critical pairs was possible by careful selection of one or other of the phases.

Separation of selected position and geometric isomers by thin layer adsorption chromatography; correlation of Rf and RM values with the numerical values of the topological indexes. Based on the correlation it has been possible to propose an original chromatographic rule which can be used to predict the order of elution of the isomers.

Determination of the retentions of 26 commercial pesticides by TLC on alumina with hexane - dioxane mixtures, and by HPLC with an alumina column. discussion of the linear intercorrelation between the log k' and RM values of the pesticides with the concentration of dioxane in the eluent.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 8, 366 - 368 (1995). Study of the retention behavior of a series of para-substituted anilides on silica with nonaqueous mobile phases. The results were discussed in terms of the nature of the solute and the eluent. - TLC of N-substituted amides, N-substituted benzamides, and N-substituted a-phenylacetamides on silica with 8 different mobile phases; spots were observed under UV 254 nm.
