The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. Acta Chromatographica 21(1), (2009). Introduction of a new objective chromatographic response function RK, based on the kernel density estimation, for evaluation of the fingerprinting performance of a particular TLC system (uniformity of retention) for which a large set of experimental hRf values of possible components of the mixture is available. The RK criterion is insensitive to large numbers (hundreds or thousands) of hRf values, can be applied to one and two-dimensional TLC and is easily computed.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 2, 161-162, (1989). Optimization of a ternary mobile phase utilizing generalized equation. Two less polar solvents were mixed 1:1 and a third, more polar solvent added to the mixture to produce mole fractions between 0.1 and 0.9. Chromatographic parameters evaluated via Rm values. For the separation of 1,4- and 1,5-isomers of naphthalene compounds on silica, carbon tetrachloride - chloroform 1:1 with the addition of 0.5 - 0.7 mole fractions of methanol or acetone were found most suitable.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 5, 192-196 (1992). New means of investigating intermolecular interactions between the components of binary, reverse phase chromatography mobile phases and the solutes being analyzed. A statistics-based approach utilizing partial correlation coefficients was chosen.
Part IV. (2001) Proc. Intern. Symp. on Planar Separations, Planar Chromatography 2001, pp. 353-354. Determination of relationships between RF values and mobile phase composition for twenty moderately polar pesticides in systems of the type normal- and reversed phase HPLC and TLC. The optimization of the particular separation parameter of HPLC by preliminary experiments with TLC is an obvious step.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 26, 147-152 (2013). TLC of poly(methylmethacrylate) (PMMA) on silica gel with acetonitrile binary solvent mixtures with carbon tetrachloride, toluene, methylene chloride, chloroform and dichloroethane. Mark-Kuhn-Houwink parameters for PMMAs, Snyder’s parameters and the measured intrinsic viscosity values for PMMA. The characteristics of adsorption-exclusion transition depends both on thermodynamic affinity of the solvent for the polymer and macromolecule-to-pore size ratio.
Proc. 6th Int. Symp. Instrum. Planar Chromatogr., (Interlaken 1991), Inst. Chromatogr., Bad Dürkheim, FRG, 321-332 (1991). TLC is used as pilot technique for HPLC of chrysene, dichlorophenoles, nitrophenol, bromonitrobenzenes and nitrotoluene. Mobile phases for both TLC and HPLC were hexane - benzene , hexane - ethylene chloride, hexane - ethyl acetate; for stationary phase silica gel was used. Solute retention (RM) values of TLC are mathematically compared with k’ values of HPLC.

Investigation of some aspects of measuring true RM values [log (1/RF-1)], in order to improve the application of reverse-phase TLC for the chromatographic estimation of drug lipophilicity. Optimization of the experimental condition, estimation of thermodynamically true RM values, detection of the influence of pH on RM in the case of strong bases.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 18, 199-202 (2005). Evaluation of two models of retention in liquid adsorption chromatography. Terms related to adsorption from two equations based on different retention models were compared. The terms were calcutated for selected substances in four chromatographic systems with a different polar modifier. Analysis of the data has proved the comparability of the terms and that they can be used interchangeably to describe adsorption phenomena. TLC of e.g. nitroanilines, nitrotoluidines, nitrophenols on silica gel in horizontal chambers with heptane - ethyl acetate, heptane - 1,4-dioxane, heptane - tetrahydrofuran and heptane - ethylene chloride. Visualization with iodine vapor, detection by scanning.
