Investigation of the relationships between logarithmic retention factors and carbon atom numbers for some homologous series of the title compounds in TLC and GC systems. The chromatographic behaviour of the compounds could be explained on the basis of their structural properties. Reversed-phase. RM values and Kovßts retention indices showed linear correlation with the carbon atom numbers of homologous species. In silica chromatography, these correlations were non-linear in several cases.
