The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. Study of the effect on the retention behavior of some steroidal test solutes of pretreating the silica surface with the vapors of a variety of polar solvents and comparison with those obtained on untreated silica gel. Calculation of the slopes and intercepts of the linear relationships between the retention constant (RM) and the logarithm of the volume fraction of ethyl acetate and discussion in relation to the characteristics of the solute, and the mobile and stationary phase.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 11, 350-352 (1998). Attempt to use a theoretical equation - so far applied to adsorption chromatography - in reversed-phase systems with two-component mobile phases. The four-parameter equation is based on an adsorption-partition mechanism for the chromatographic process. Agreement between theoretical and experimental retention was found to be good over the whole range of mobile phase concentrations investigated. HPTLC of phenol, ethylbenzene, 4-chlorotoluene, nitrobenzene, naphthalene, biphenyl, naphthol on RP-18 with water - methanol mixtures with methanol molar fractions of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9.and 1.0. Densitometry at 285, 260 and 225 nm, respectively.
Comparison with results obtained by use of computational algorithms J. Planar Chromatogr. 22, 327-331 (2009) TLC of 27 novel imidazo[2,1-c][1,2,4]triazine derivatives together with 12 compounds with known literature log P values (as reference calibration data) on RP-18 with methanol - water binary mobile phases containing different proportions of methanol in horizontal chambers without chamber saturation. Detection under UV 254 nm. Using principal-component analysis the obtained results were compared with results from nine computational methods.

TLC of nine compounds with single point adsorption: diphenylamine (1), indol (2), 2-naphtol (3), 1-naphtol (4), 1-naphtylamine (5), 4-toluidine (6), carbazole (7), 4-chloraniline (8), and thymol (9) on silica gel with six modifiers: acetone, dioxane, hexane, isopropanol, methylethylketone, ethyl acetate, and tetrahydrofurane (in hexane), in six concentrations: 5 %, 10 %, 15 %, 20 %, 30 %, and 40 %. Qualitative determination by absorbance measurement at UV 254 nm. Retention values allowed to consider weighted regression with 1/x weights during retention extrapolation.

J. Braz. Chem. Soc. 26, 1617-1624 (2015). RP-TLC of newly synthesized thiosemicarbazides and their cyclic analogues 1,2,4-triazol-3-thiones on RP-18 with methanol - water mixtures 45-80 %. Qualitative determination under UV light at 254 nm. The log P values of 1,2,4-triazole-3-thione derivatives were determined.

Overview of the applications of TLC retention constants and use of bioautography as a TLC method complementary in quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR) studies. Discussion of the advantages and limitations of the method, and application of less common planar chromatography modes for drug discovery process.
