PersonnelHead of Laboratory Dr. Eike Reich is Head of CAMAG Laboratory. He studied chemistry and earned his PhD from Humboldt University Berlin for the isolation and identification of Crinum alkaloids. Dr. Reich was Associate Professor of Chemistry at Longwood College, Virginia, where his research fields included chromatography of pheromones and plant constituents. Currently he is specialized in the application of HPTLC for the analysis of medicinal plants. Dr. Reich is member of the European Pharmacopoeia and the USP Expert committee on Dietary Supplements (General Chapters). He works closely with the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia. List of publications. Application Specialist Daniel Handloser is application specialist at CAMAG Laboratory and responsible for testing and support of CAMAG instruments and software. In our courses and individual trainings he shares his vast experience in the field of TLC. Daniel Handloser was educated as a chemical-technical assistant and as a technical businessman in Basel. He is with CAMAG for more than 30 years. Scientist Dr. Anita Ankli is scientist and assistant Head of Laboratory. Before joining CAMAG she was Head of Production in a company dealing with APIs of protein from animal resources and plant medicine. Dr. Ankli received her PhD in phytochemistry and ethnobotany after extensive fieldwork in Mexico, Yucatan, where she studied the Mayan medicinal plants. For her work she was awarded the Alfred Vogel prize of the year 2000. Dr. Ankli received her M.S. degree in pharmacy from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Information Management Valeria Widmer is scientific staff member for information, communication and support at CAMAG Laboratory. She received her M.S. degree in pharmacy from Basel University. Her diploma thesis in pharmaceutical biology dealt with the HPTLC analysis of flavone glycosides from hawthorn and passion flower and was performed in collaboration with CAMAG Laboratory Muttenz. Chemist Mario Steiner is chemist at CAMAG Laboratory. He provides lab support in customer projects and application development. Mario Steiner was educated as a chemical-technical assistant in Isny. After subsequent education he received his diploma in chemistry from the University for Applied Sciences in Isny. |
