CAMAG Software / CAMAG Instruments and the "Year 2000"

NOTE: The products below declared as compliant meet the requirements of year 2000 compliance in accordance with the DISC PD 2000-1 definition of the British Standards Institution. Information on the year 2000 compliance of a product refers exclusively to the year 2000 compliance of the product in its original state. No details can be provided on how the product will interact with other products or systems unless a performance test under real year 2000 conditions has been performed. This is true even if all other components of a system individually have been declared year 2000-compliant.

DOS Based Software

We confirm that the CAMAG TLC Evaluation software "CATS" is year 2000 compliant from version 4.05 and 3.19 (see our Certificate which is available as PDF file for download).

The following conditions have to be fulfilled:

The operating system used is DOS 6.2 or one of the today known and CAMAG tested successor products (i.e. Windows 95).
The processor used is an Intel 80486 or one of the today known and CAMAG tested successor products (i.e. Pentium).
The guidelines issued by CAMAG (minimum configuration, installation procedure, CATS under Windows leaflet etc.) are thoroughly followed.
The necessary free RAM in lower (DOS) and upper (XMS) memory is available.
The BIOS of the computer used supports the necessary functionality.

NOTE: With Windows 95 the file COMMAND.COM needs to be updated!
NOTE: Even Windows 98 needs a Year-2000-Update!

CATS 4.0x and TLC Scanner 3
This software is year 2000 compliant starting version 4.05, the TLC Scanner 3 has no real time clock and is thus not affected by the year 2000.

CATS 3.1x (TLC Scanner II)
This software is year 2000 compliant starting version 3.19, the TLC Scanner II has no real time clock and is thus not affected by the year 2000.

Windows Based Software

We confirm that the CAMAG Windows based Software listed below is year 2000 compliant according to our in house tests and, according to our knowledge from the Microsoft Development Network, Windows products do not have problems related to the year 2000 date change (see our certificate which is available as PDF file for download).

The operating system used is Windows (depending on software version) or one today known and CAMAG tested successor products.
The processor used is an Intel 80486 or one of the today known and CAMAG tested successor products (i.e. Pentium).
The guidelines issued by CAMAG (minimum configuration, installation procedure, etc.) are thoroughly followed.
The necessary free RAM in lower and upper memory is available.

NOTE: According to Microsoft Windows NT needs the service pack 4 to become Y2K compliant

CATS Spectrum Library for Windows
This software is year 2000 compliant.

ATS3 (Automatic TLC Sampler III)
This software is year 2000 compliant starting version 2.13.
The Automatic TLC Sampler III has no real time clock and is thus not affected by the year 2000.

ATS3 FreeMode (Automatic TLC Sampler III)
This software is year 2000 compliant.
The Automatic TLC Sampler III has no real time clock and is thus not affected by the year 2000.

AMD2 (Automated Multiple Development)
This software is year 2000 compliant.
The AMD2 Device has no real time clock and is thus not affected by the year 2000.

VideoStore 1.2x
This software is year 2000 compliant starting version 1.21.
The camera and Reprostar have no real time clock and are thus not affected by the year 2000.

VideoStore 2
This software is year 2000 compliant.
The camera and Reprostar have no real time clock and are thus not affected by the year 2000.

Treasury
This software is year 2000 compliant starting version 2.68.

VideoScan
This software is year 2000 compliant.

CBS on CD ROM
This software is year 2000 compliant.

Instruments without PC control software
There are no additional instruments manufactured by CAMAG who are affected by the year 2000.
